Ideal for use with most Beige, Gold, Oak coloured boards.
These screws are Ruspert coated so they will not rust in any environment. At 50 mm long, these are also long enough for using decking boards as Fascia’s/Skirting too. The 10 mm head of this screw is ideal for covering pre-drilled holes to allow for expansion and contraction.
- It is important that you do not screw directly into your composite boards as they need to be allowed to expand when it is hot and contract when it is cold.
The neatest and best way to secure your composite decking fascia boards to the face of your subframe, while allowing for expansion and contraction, is to pre-drill a hole into the board about 6 or 7 mm wide so your 10 mm screw head will cover the hole when you screw through into the subframe.
Using Square Drive Screws with a Square BIT means that you won’t have to worry about your screws burring or rounding off as you drive them through your subframe.
